You choose the map

The optional map loads only when you allow external media.

What is stored on your device?

The website uses a small preference record named lg_privacy_v1 in your browser’s local storage. It records whether you allow external media and when you made that choice. We use it for up to 180 days so you do not have to answer on every page. It is not a tracking identifier and is not sent to an analytics service.

WordPress also uses cookies for administrator sign-in and security when an authorised administrator logs in. They are not needed to browse the public project information. Older versions of the theme’s banner may have left a cookie-consent cookie or category preferences on a returning visitor’s device; the new controls do not use those old preferences to enable the map.

The optional map

The map on the Plans page is provided by OpenStreetMap. Before permission, no map iframe is created and the provider receives no request from that embed. If you allow external media, the map loads and OpenStreetMap receives technical information such as your IP address and browser details. Its own privacy policy explains its handling of that information.

Choosing Essential only keeps the embed off. Withdrawing permission removes an already loaded map and prevents future loads; it cannot reverse information already sent while the map was enabled.

Change your choice whenever you wish

Select the Privacy settings button at the bottom of the screen. You can allow or turn off external media, then save your choices. The first-visit banner offers Essential only and Allow external media with equal prominence.

If your browser blocks local storage, your choice works for the current page but may not be remembered on your next visit. You can also clear this site’s stored data in your browser settings.

External links and donations

Opening JustGiving, Facebook or another external link takes you to that organisation’s website. Their privacy and cookie information applies there. We do not embed social feeds or take card payments on this website.
