The case for a local hall
A shared place for a growing Lyme Green.
The proposal responds to community growth, local consultation and a shortage of flexible space close to home.
What is proposed?
Lyme Green Community Hall CIO is working to establish a modern, accessible community hall on land beside London Road. Vistry has set aside the plot for this purpose as part of the Bollin Grange development.
The hall is intended to support social welfare, recreation, learning and community life for residents of Lyme Green and the wider neighbourhood.

More than half of respondents said they currently attended activities outside Lyme Green. Later consultation has continued to gather views from the expanded community; results from different consultations are kept separate.

Exercise, dance, yoga, wheelchair sport and other inclusive health and wellbeing activities.
Learn and get support
First aid, practical workshops, local services, children’s activities and community support.
These are possibilities, not a confirmed programme. Activities and facilities will be shaped by demand, affordability, detailed design and future operating arrangements.
A complementary venue
Adding capacity, not taking it away.
The intention is not to compete with nearby village, church or community halls. The team plans to refer enquiries elsewhere when another venue is better suited or the Lyme Green hall cannot accommodate them.

Lyme Green Community Hall CIO was registered with the Charity Commission on 18 March 2025. Trustees, skill donors and volunteers are taking the proposal through its early stages with support and advice from community-sector and professional partners.
